Pamplin Family Winery
Red I.Q. Washington Estate Red Bordeaux Blend
Hello again everyone. We have made it again to another weekend with minimum aggravation. Tonight's wine is the 2012 Red I.Q. Washington State Red Wine from the Pamplin Family Winery of the Columbia Valley. This is a typical Bordeaux blend with the main grapes being Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
On the nose there is black cherry, black plum, black raspberry, black currant, chocolate, cedar, crushed gravel and earthiness.
On the palate I get black cherry, black raspberry, black currant, green bell pepper, herbs, cedar and earth.
This wine is medium to full bodied with medium to + acidity and medium fine tannins that gradually moves into a medium black fruit finish. If you are looking for an every day drinker that is easy on the pocketbook, this is your wine. I hope everyone had a great week and look forward to a healthy and safe weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷
