Palazzo Maffei
Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend
Delicate for an Amarone, but retains all of the qualities you love about Amarone. I typically avoid this style but loved this.

Mar 14th, 2016...one of the best wines I’ve ever had was an Amarone from the 1976 vintage and this certainly did not disappoint. Very solid offering that you would go out of your way to order again. Anrico Posto outside of Chicacgo.

Apr 14th, 2021Last of the case. It’s been a couple of years. Still aromas of forest berries, maybe with a hint of almond and black pepper and menthol. Deep cherry. After it was open for a while there was spices and tea. Very smooth, tannins very soft and fine but still there, a bit drying, integrated, nice bitterness on the end with still a nice finish.
