This opened up with hot soil, tobacco and cherries on the nose. We allowed to decant for a while and the cherries and tobacco carried over on the palate. Maybe because of the age the tannins and acids seemed to be subdued compared to other Barbaresco s I have had recently. The wines from this area are becoming some of my favorites.
