There is Merlot ... Then there's Pahlmeyer. In a blind tasting, you would swear this is an "Old World" Right Bank Bordeaux. The flavor is so expressive and rich; this is a bargain at this price point. Yes, you can buy Chateau Petrus for $4k per bottle or buy 4 cases of this instead! I have yet to have a Merlot in North America that rivals it. Perfect for a special occasion (my Dad was in town). Bottles like this are the reason you drink red wine. Cheers!!
