1990 - from my friend Steve Ventrello’s cold cellar and it showed how well Napa Cabernet Sauvignon can age. Blackberry, sweet pipe tobacco, spice cake, dried herb - tannins have melted and the wine remains fresh and alive.

Surprise blockbuster WOTN. Layers of rich silky fruit, spice box, cherry tobacco. This winery was one of the first to get me engaged with wine in the mid 90's. The old crimson basic label still holds a special place with me. This brought some wine epiphany memories rushing back. I had forgotten this old friend a little but the reunion was sweet. The new somm at Addison was effusive. Respect.
