Bright, but not citrusy. Not floral, but aromatic.

May 18th, 2019Nice Eola-Amity Hills PN rosé. Another solid effort from Bill. Has a bit of structure from a decent amount of skin contact as well as what reads to me as a bit of creamy ML character but I'm not 100% sure if it actually does go through malo or not. Still has freshness though. On the nose, slightly underripe bing cherry, ripe raspberries, wet stone, a bit of heavy cream and leesy bread dough, and some dried herb character. Palate shows pretty similarly to the nose in terms of flavor but has a little more mineral verve, slightly more underripe fruit character (in a good way) and not as much of the perceptible creamy character. Medium (-) body with a nice, soft texture; medium (+) acid. Dry. Good stuff; plays nicely with bright pasta dishes with chicken, generally a pretty gastronomic rosé.
