Pacificana
Lodi Zinfandel
This might be one of the worst wines I've ever had. I'm not going to finish this bottle and I'm seriously considering canceling my Club W subscription because of it. It's sickenly sweet and has none of the wonderful qualities of a true Zinfandel.

Mar 17th, 2021Ok. Too sweet. Possibly due to higher alcohol (14.8%). Needs more acidity to balance it. No more Club W wines for me, too many "meh" bottles.

Oct 13th, 2016Given how young a vintage I was surprised at the quality of this. Though it seems most don't like it, it's pretty good imho.

Aug 30th, 2016Agree that something must have gone terribly wrong with this vintage or perhaps requires mandatory aging - without doing so, it was undrinkable. Cloyingly sweet with an intensely unpleasant synthetic wood finish. We actually mixed it with a more tolerable but still unremarkable primitivo (Kin & Country) since it couldn't get worse, and it actually was quite an improvement but still. After so so experiences with several bottles from Club W, this was the last straw. I, too, canceled my membership. Bleh.

Aug 28th, 2016Read the bad reviews. I like it, it's spicy & leathery. Yes a bit too sweet, but I'm into it. I think if it sat for another year or two it would be better. If you have a bottle, maybe hang onto it for some time.
