Heavy bottle man. Decent art. Muddy reddish purple. Smells funky with a campfire scent. Maybe that’s the toasted oak? Flavors are a bit rough. Plums and smoke.

Fancy label. Black and silver. Very dark. Like a plum compote at night. Smells hearty, and heady. Earth and berry juices meet a hint of dark chocolate. Flavors are rich and a bit too fruity. It’s got a hint of that New World fruit soup thing. Plenty of bite to the finish though. It’s a workable and likable blend. Just not deep enough to ponder.
