Dry without being too strong, this dry Riesling is consistently good as a food wins, standing up to almost any poultry or vegetable dish thrown at it, and even holding its own against blackened salmon!

Jun 24th, 2015Золотистый цвет. В аромате сладкая мякоть апельсина, белый перец, латекс, спелые абрикосы и желтые сливы, йогуртовые тона. Насыщенно и эклектично. Достаточно тельное, с остаточным сахаром и сладостью желтых фруктов во вкусе, творожными оттенками. Тяжеловесно, явно недостает кислотности, алкоголь выступает. Сильно охлаждать. 15/20

May 15th, 2016I've had a lot of Rieslings, and was prepared to dismiss this uninspiring-looking screwtop. But after tasting, for a heftier white, it's really good. The aroma leaps out of the glass with chalky mineral and tropical pineapple blossom. It's pleasantly acidic on the palate, medium+ bodied for a white, but not at all oppressive (which some Rieslings can be). This is one of the few whites whose stout tart finish isn't unpleasant to me: it's like Granny Smith apple peels, balanced with that enticing tropical/floral dimension Reislings have at their best. I feel silly writing so much about a $10 major-label wine, but compared to half of the abstruse old world whites I've been trying, and the vast majority of cheap Reislings, this is balanced, enjoyable, and, if I'm honest, rather entrancing.

Great summer wine for when it's hot hot hot! Light, crisp, and fruity, with just a slight hint of sweet.
