Private label product from Elk Cove Vineyards. Purple red, moderately extracted pigment, excellent clarity. Salted plum or red fruit leather in nose, hints of barrel smoke and menthol. Blueberry and cherry flavors, great depth of flavor after open an hour. Tart finish and aftertaste. Solid fruit but not a lot of complexity initially. Mild seed tannin and skin astringency, moderate weight.
