Day one -- upon opening a bit disjointed and hot on the finish. Reworked. Day two -- still a bit hot on opening but more settled. An hour in no longer hot and all elements playing nicely together. Nose is red and black fruit with damp earth. Some vegetal notes on the palate, but the fruit component is quite tasty, the acid juicy and refreshing. I have a feeling Scarborough is going to get better and better with each passing year.

Jul 14th, 2014Definitely not a sipping wine. It has a strong, peppery finish. And a little bit of a bite to its taste. Basically, the flavor is very strong, and needs to be matched with a strong food like barbecue, pizza, etc.
