Gifted by a client, surprisingly good Australian Shiraz. Royal purple colour with a deep core. The added Viognier really brightens the nose with generous aromas of woodland fruit as well as rosemary, pepper, black cherry and blackberry. The flavours are bold and brambly with cool dark fruit, wet soil and bark. I’m getting side notes of pepper, vanilla and cedar. Heat from the alcohol is in check but lingers a bit on the palate.

Non spicy Shiraz...... Medium fruit, not to dry.....good with rotisserie chicken with maple bourbon glaze!
