Dark purple in the glass with a wide ruby rim. Hot right off the bat but after some time it starts to blow over and you’ll get aromas of oak, cherries, blueberries, cherries, cinnamon, and more cherries. Fruit is all over this, which is what worried me but it does work. These wines have not been my favorite but I may be starting to change my mind, especially when you consider the price point of this one. Fine tannins and a plush mouthfeel. More big red fruit on the palate along with earth, spices, dark chocolate, and clove cigarettes. Hedonistic to its core, this is fun.
