I’ve rarely had a Zin as Burgundian-styled as this is. Medium color saturation. Gorgeous nose of oozy ripe red and black berry fruit and a warm terra cotta tiles and sandstone earthiness. Alcohol (only 14.3%) and tannin all in balance. Long finish.

103 yr-old vines. Nose has such pure, ripe, perfect blackberry fruit, and slightly smoky warm, dry gravel notes. Soft as silk on the palate, with ripe, concentrated fruit in a very elegant package. Pretty decent acids. Zero jamminess or residual sugar. Only 14.2% alc. This is my kind of Zin. It’s young but is perfectly ready to drink right TF now.

Some spice and mint aromas mixed with dark berry fruit, in this wonderfully complex, yet elegant, Napa Valley Zinfandel, lovely acidity, and while structured to age, tannins are not bitter, long, lingering finish, terrific now, but should only get better with more cellaring, kudos to Joel for this gem!!
