Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend

This budget-friendly, expressive red from southern France conveys complexity well beyond its price, with rich bitter cherry, cassis, licorice, floral and herb character and a long, chewy, focused finish. $22.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

Very sweaty and meaty. Dark fruit, grippy. Sustains well.

Actually had the Côtes di Roussillon Villages, 80% Carignan and 20% Grenache. Undrinkable, unfortunately, really tasted the alcohol even tho wasn’t listed as high. Didn’t open on 2nd day either
