Deep garnet purple. Black cassis jam and vanilla extract on the nose and fruit-forward medium-full palate. Medium acidity — just enough to make it a worthy food wine — and present but non-aggressive medium tannins on the finish (ditto). If New World Cab is your style (I admit that I prefer old, left bank Bordeaux), then this should easily satisfy as an everyday Cab that’s sturdy enough for the “fine” table. Drink by 2021.
