Another terrific Viognier vintage from OWW. I love the fruits that come out on the palate! Quince, white peach, apricot, and orange marmalade are finished by a dose of fresh chili pepper. Mineral nose and pleasant aromatics round this out. Drink over the next two years.

Nov 6th, 2016This man has good reason to smile! His family's Viognier shows how well this grape adapts to the soils of central Maryland and northern Virginia. I'm partial to OWW's version over most that I've tried in this region. This has lower alcohol than most Viognier and maintains a lively acidity. Not a big and round Viognier, rather it is a mineral and aromatic wine that is well balanced and elegant. This is like a little gem.
