The 2014 Greenstone is the Maryland Governor's Cup winner for white blends. Named after the meta basaltic greenstone prevalent in hilly central Maryland, this is a non-traditional blend of Albariño and Sauvignon Blanc. High floral notes accompany mandarin orange peel, Meyer lemon zest, winter melon, and minerals. Refreshing acidity and a slight creaminess will help this pair with many salads and entrée. This wine is as interesting to drink as it is to smell and is a true winner.

A real up-and-coming producer on the East Coast. This one straddles the line between cool climate and warmer. Delicious stuff. #mdwine

Fresh and clean. Citrusy with an herbal-floral vein. Nice acid but also mid-palate concentration. #mdwine

Decent local wine- would be good with fish.
