Star bright straw gold with green highlights. Surprisingly shy nose for a Viognier, though the medium-bodied palate yields a fair amount of tropicals and honeysuckle with only a hint of the usual, off-putting darkness on the finish. A trade off, I suppose. That finish, by the way, is medium short in length, rounding out the overall feel of this wine: a tidy introductory Viognier that teases at what the more complex (and pricey) examples can be. All in all, a nice drink for those times when a change from Chardonnay is in order. Solid.
