Enjoyed this bottle much better than the previous '08 Novy Syrah 'Susan's Hill Vineyard' that I opened several months ago. This time I aerated for a considerably longer period and the aromas and flavors were more prominent. Vibrant black fruit, cigar box and clove flooded the nose. Smooth, velvety finish.

Feb 13th, 2014The dark purple '08 Novy Syrah 'Susan's Hill Vineyard' may have suffered in relation to the other wines due to palate fatigue, but still provided nice spicy cinnamon and earthy black fruit aromas. Tart fruit flavors with chewy tannins and a modest finish.
