Les Champs de Cris Pouilly - Fume Sauvignon Blanc

This really picked up in the 2015 vintage - super well balanced and round. Great flint and gooseberry notes.

86/100 Paired very well with mushroom and pea risotto.

The nose was very engaging, fresh and lively with lots of flint laden fruit. The palate is dry and full bodied with impressive terroir minerality which suits my palate, loads of citrus fruit throughout the journey with some hazelnut in the mid palate.
It has a nice crispness with rounded edges (if that makes sense) and presents a good finish.

Interesting for a sauv blanc - has the right nose and color but not dry and surprisingly sweet. Still very drinkable - just not what you'd expect.
