This was a massive wine. Big and chewy. Fruits were a little closed down. Very dark color. There is a slight liqueur style here with a touch of tar. Blackberries, blueberries, black raspberries, black plum, dry roses and earth. While my score may not show it, this wine has the potential to be their best wine of the vintage. It was simply a little closed down. A wine to watch over the next two years.

Very well aged! 2005 Sori Bricco mountain grape opened on 1/3/18! Solid structure, dark fruits, medium tannins, and maturity. Not past its prime!

4th bottle of the evening and sadly it had to follow some pretty big contenders. Great wine just came 3rd...smooth rounded wine with lush fruit from a hot year. Drinking superbly right now.
