Tannins were resolved yet present; solid in still holding the foundation to this wine's overarching structure. A lot of muscle still held in this wine. More and more assurance that Napa Zins are delicious and are distance runners.

Cassis, pomegranate, and a jammy component on the nose. The cassis continues on the palate with some dark fruit, stewed blackberries and a simple finish. This '99 is drinking pretty nicely right now and with the lighter tannins, maybe drink over the next 2 years.
