Placida Vineyard Pinot Noir

Happy to check in on the ‘19 Placida, haven’t tasted since bottling. The stem is integrating nicely, there’s plenty of freshness and lively tannin, fruit is ample but kept in check. Cooperage is balancing nicely too.

Lean body and structure. Fruits are dried. Cranberries, strawberries, pomegranate, rhubarb, spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, dry crushed sandy rocks, mild chalk and mid acidity. This is the Placida not

Apricots, underripe grapefruit, grapefruit pit & skin, overripe pineapple, Meyer lemon, bruised apple & pear, waxy, gritty chalk & minerality and finishes a little funky.

Really great fruit, young structure, nice complex hints of spice and meatiness. Looking forward to its future.

Excellent, rich, full bodied

This was a treat for me, such elegant wine with layers of complexity and flavors of bright red berries & sour cherry.

Lovely. Lots of terrific strawberry fruit, topped off with a long, earthy finish. Smooth and velvety. You usually can’t go wrong with a Neyers Pinot.

Beautiful dried fruit aromas. Great acidity really balances the heavier fruit. Wish I bought two!

Strawberry and spicebox. The finish is long, memorable, and full of earth. Aging nicely. I’ve always been a big fan of Neyers, and their pinot is decently priced, and really underrated. One to seek out.

Not oaky. Fruity with some acid. Could drink anytime
