Really lovely and as good as it'll get. A nice surprise after opening the '98 about a month ago, which was structurally and aromatically in a good place, but noticeably boozy.

So fantastic! 12 years and the wine is still vibrant and fruity. Great balance and the perfect amount of heat in the finish. Fell apart after being open a bit, but I'm not disappointed.

Stewed black fruit, peach, leather, meat, cocoa, talcum, potting soil, dried herbs, smoke. Structured, chewy tannins, lots of rustic appeal. WC is keeping the beat going, adding to the overall impression of acidity.
