Neyers
Chuy's Vineyard Chardonnay
Always been a favorite CH vineyard for me. Old, dry farmed, shot Wente planted in 1968 at 1200ft elevation. Sadly, this vineyard was ripped out this year 😑 Gorgeous wine. Harmonious, seamless texture with all the breadth I love in CA CH with plenty of acid to hold it all together. Walks the line of richness and focus, like great Meursault. Creamy yet departs mineral and gripping. Fresh meyer lemon curd, ripe yellow apple, crushed stones, cream, apple blossoms, melon skin and verbena. 40% N. oak, Damy/Sirugue

Apr 9th, 2019A nice middle-ground between California and Burgundy. Mild and well integrated oak, kumquat, lite-medium body with a bit of the butteriness of CA chardonnay, and a long clean finish of citrus rind, peach cobbler/peach nutmeg, and earthiness. Will seek this wine again!
