My impressions of it were pretty darn good a year ago, and OH MAMA they're even better this year. This wine is NOT over the hill. If it's over the hill, it wasn't stored correctly. This wine was DELICIOUS. Ran the table tonight and we pretty much stopped opening wines and opened up all 3 of these from the cellar. Dark black fruit, grilled meat, smoky characteristics up front. This wine is JAM PACKED with a flinty middle and finish. Tannin had completely resolved, therefore I don't believe there is any more than 3-4 years left in this wine. First bottle drank incredibly well over a two-hour period. Finished with a flinty blackberry and cocoa. I have zero of these left in my personal collection!

Jul 5th, 2017#2246 Dusty earthy oak on the nose. Leather and oak with a long finish on the palate. May be approaching the end of its time. Still a winner.
