Navarro Vineyards
Mendocino Grenache

Lightly extracted ruby red in color, very good clarity. Briar, phenol and cherry fruit leather notes in nose. Tutti frutti and anise flavors, some seed and skin tannins in finish. Good acidity, tasty and complex from opening. Still benefits from decanting. Later, cherry and raspberry flavors emerge, white pepper flavor in finish. Astringency builds as well.

Wines from Navarro are so well balanced and this is no different. Ripe fruits, greats acidity and tannin levels with a smooth finish. Can’t go wrong.

This is a white Grenache! It is very balanced, not fruit. Similar to white wines from the Rhone.

Oct 5th, 2021Had the 2013 vintage which has some good acidity with some fair tannins. Not something to hold onto long-term. Decant for a couple of hours & enjoy!

Nice levels of acid. A bit of tannin. But also a bit too Jammy.
