Nice treat, VA Chard w/bottle age: dark gold colored, big time Burgundian nose, liberal oak, matchstick, butterscotch, apple, vanilla, pineapple, marmalade, tart rather than ripe. Oily, viscous on palate, juicy, lots of oak infused fruit flavors leading to decent finish. Glad I found this old because the oak might have been over the top on release.

Nice color of saturated gold. Nose of ample nutty flavor, green apple, fermented plum, and oaky almond. Taste of buttery smoothness, green apple, a bit pine apple, citrusy, oaky, roasted almonds, and grapefruit zest. Aftertaste of zesty bitterness, nutty almond, medium long. As a Virginian , I am proud of this bottle. Virginia wine, way to go!
