Black cherry nose with more sour cherry and blackberry in the mouth. Very light bodied as expected, with some stony minerality. Light tannins, too. Very lightly oaked if at all. I've been drinking a lot of cab franc lately, mostly from the Finger Lakes and some from the Loire. This compares well. It's a very fruit forward, fresh example, like some that I know are unoaked. It's not quite at the level of the best ones from elsewhere, but it's delicious and good value. I had it with a pot pie made from leftover Christmas roast duck.
