Incredible blend of Spanish & Portuguese grapes, balanced and drinkable with or without food pairings. Tasted this wine at the winery and was so impressed, I had to leave with a bottle. The Zarzuela is a unique addition to any collection.

Tempranillo, touriga, souzao. I really like this compared to the 2015. Dark berry. Pretty nose, pretty fruit. 92-93

While i prefer the 2016 for zarzuela, I like 2015 for the tempranillo single varietal.

Love this wine! The predominantly Spanish and Portuguese grape varietals coming from California soils lend a nice rustic earthiness to the lush fruitiness of CA fruit. Bought this at the winery and wish I had bought a case.

Absolutely amazing. I had the pleasure to try this in early August. I wish I lived in close so I could purchase wine through this vineyard all the time.

This isn't as tight. Starting to show better. Late bloomer compared to the malbec that was released alongside it.

Post neuroanatomy exam flight at the weekend job place. Looking forward to the 2015 merlot release in a month. It's Robbie Meyer's favorite varietal here from his favorite estate vineyard (sachau vineyard- hillside vineyard in the distance. Livermore has 3 different gravel soil types but the merlot excels with the additional clay on the hill). his chard is also coming out. Both will be his firsts.

Robbie Meyer's first edition of the zarzuela. This is a Spanish/Portuguese blend of 40% Tempranillo/40% Touriga/20% Souzao. $60. His Tempranillo, Malbec, and zarzuela are the only reds to have been released so far that he did from start to finish.
