Mullan Road Cellars
Columbia Valley Red Blend
Let's end the weekend with a bang, with this delicious red blend.
Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Great nose of dark fruits, blackberries, figs, raisins, cooked plums, cherries, black currants, oak, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, licorice, peppercorn, spices and graphite.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, black cherries, chocolates, smoke, licorice, oak, vanilla, earth, leather, coke, coffee, peppercorn, spices and light vegetables.
Medium plus in finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a nice surprise. A great red blend from Washington State. Showing great balance and mouthfeel. Spicy and still hot at the back of the throat with a nice finish.
Drinking nicely now, and will get even better in the next 5 years.
Good by itself or with food like BBQ steak. Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up.
Robert Parker 91 points.

This is a delight.
14.3% alcohol by volume.

$45.

Jan 6th, 2018Went out on a limb with this wine due to the price tag. I am in love with this blend. A tad fruity, full bodied, enjoyed a few glasses on its own.
