Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity on the nose with blueberries, cherries, red currants, flowers, plums, metals, wet tones, chocolates, coffee, oak, vanilla, licorice, leather and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long thin legs.

Spicy, fruity and dry on the palate, with blueberries, plums, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, currants, earth, spices, chocolates, licorice, vanilla, wood, leather and lots of peppercorn.

Medium finish with soft, elegant tannins, spices and black pepper.

A nice, easy drinking Zinfandel from California. Simple, but drinking very nicely by itself. I paired it with a cheese plate and crackers.

Nicely balanced with enough acidity to compensate both the fruits and the high alcohol. Spicy, yet somewhat thin for a California Zinfandel. I prefer their red blend, but this Zin was better than the Cabernet.

Good pretty much right out of the bottle, but better after an hour.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

This won the night at our 5-13-16 tasting. Everyone liked it a lot. Really interesting. My notes (creativity was flowing): raw chicken, edamame, Grandpa's cologne. A+

Fruity up front, some tar and tea. No real finish to speak of. Easy drinking.
