Morlet Family Vineyards
Joli Coeur Sonoma County Pinot Noir
Wednesday Wine Committee and what a fantastic line-up by John! Typical format of 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind.
My guess here was west coast Pinot and it’s hard to guess anything other than that here. Thought possibly Boar’s View or Aston. Very dark berry focused with swirls of cedar. Black cherry cola too. Lovely.

Elegant cherry cola with the tannins fully integrated at this stage. Pop and pour, serve it on the cool side as it’s still pretty powerful.

May 15th, 2018Very nice, but overshadowed by the Rivers-Marie. Just not quite enough acidity to keep it lively and exciting.
