Medium ruby color with garnet highlights and a brick rim. Aromas of dried black fruits, black coffee and warm spices. Flavors of raisins and prunes, black licorice and balsamic vinegar. Spicy finish that was a bit hollow. Chewy tannins and medium acidity. Full bodied and rich. This bottle was a bit past its prime. Thanks for the taste, Chris B!
