Perfectly ripe red fruit condition, Red plum and red cherry. Secondary black plum.
Texture is rounded and soft with a good acid balance.
Too much new oak for my preference, it distracts from the quality of the fruit.

Slightly oaky but first taste is nice all in all.
Toasty oaky taste and aroma surrounding dark cherry, rhubarb notes
Strawberries and chocolate coming out...
And...mushrooms!
And more balanced with opening; dark, dry fruits rising over the initial blast of oaky notes.

Excellent compliment to balsamic-glazed pork chops. Had a depth of flavor that enhanced the dining experience and had a spiciness, almost ginger-like.
