Inky in color with a reddish/ brick rim.
Strong nose right out of the bottle with blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, black currants, light raisins, cedar, dried figs, licorice, light vanilla, chocolates, light earth, tobacco, black pepper and mediterranean spices.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cooked cherries, currants, light wood, spices, coffee, earth, herbs, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, peppercorn, licorice, light vegetables and black tea.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Merlot from Tuscany. Nicely balanced, rich and extracted. Complex, soft and elegant. Spicy and entertaining.
This 10 year old Super Tuscan is drinking at its peak now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. Still showing lots of fruits, especially on the nose.
I had this vintage 5 years ago, and it is drinking so much better now.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food.
100% Merlot grapes were hand picked and aged in French oak barrels for 15 months.

This is a very nice Merlot from Tuscany. Showing a great nose with nice complexity and structure. Tangy and spicy. Interesting and rich. Feels like a right Bank Bordeaux.
This Single Vineyard is still young and would be better in 5 years of bottle time. Would age nicely in the next 15 years.
I decanted it for 90 minutes, which is when the the tannins showed up.
I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses. Paired very nicely with the Prosciutto.
