We were introduced to some great Mexican wines a few months back when we explored Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California. Monte Xanic makes some excellent wines. This is their entry Bordeaux blend of fifty fifty Cab and Merlot. The Merlot comes from their higher, cooler valley (Valle de Ojo), the Cab from the warmer Valle Guadalupe. It made a very interesting wine. The dark red vibrant fruit upfront from the Merlot and the dark earthy lingering finish from the Cab. Both very much in sync with each other.
