1 person found it helpfulDec 3rd, 20162012 vintage. In my 35 years in this business, I have never tasted Corvina bottled solo, so I'm not exactly sure what to expect. This one is very simple, with a slightly floral (violets) nose that at once reminds me of Cabernet Franc but more so of Gamay Noir. On the palate, juicy with minor tannins. In the world of wines, this strikes me as a Beaujolais with a little structure, something to pair with charcuterie.

Crushed cherries, early season strawberries, cranberries, violets and subtle earth. I was expecting something heavier, but if you like a light red you could certainly do worse (not to mention, as a 2015 this is silly young).

Slightly floral and acidic, nice tartness with bits of slate, potpourri, and dark sour cherry or plums. Simple and light but with character.
