Camporenzo Valpolicella Classico Superiore Corvina Blend

Balanced. Red cherry, plum, earthy and some black berries, botti aged stability, with some ripasso. Dry, mid+ acidity and mid- tannin. Straightforward and mid+ intensity aroma. Good with food. ABV13.0%. at Estro Vino in Venice.

Finess not power.

Bright red fruit, with good acidity and moderate tannins. Not overly complex but very enjoyable nonetheless. Louis/Dressner never disappoint!

Beaver introduced me to this back in 2011 as the most pleasure per dollar I could get outside of France. Still true today.

Valpolicella is probably the Italian wine I know the least well. This is nice - good finesse, definitely on the lighter side (in a good way), 13% abv, great acid and a light fruit profile. Good pairing with turmeric / sumac / paprika marinated chicken thighs.

Mid-light bodied, medium-high acidity. Very drinkable and excellent food wine. Quite impressed.
