Top Notes For
Awe Some

Inky and thick all the way to the edge in the glass. Spices and woodsy on the nose. Smells hotter than the ABV and taste bear out. On the 1st day, a little richer on the fruit and burnt fig flavors. On the 2nd day, a little more peaty and peppery, like a leathery syrah. Overall, quite lovely, but the "whole wine" doesn't seem to gel. It's different elements seem to be hunting for common ground. That said, for ~$20, it is a world better than the run of the mill Chianti's at this price.
