An aged Ruché that showed well. At almost 10 years you’d expect the red Moscato like aromatic fruit juice to be way over the hill… but no. It’s got vibrant red fruits, bright florals still, and hints of mushroom and smoke. It reminds me of a comment made by Ian d’Agata —- people never give enough credit to how well Ruche ages…

2012: fruit forward with soft mid palate and low tannin. Was still a little intense for Japanese food, try with Chinese

Very fruity without much tannins. Great acidity. Layers of flowers and red fruit. Fun wine to drink.

Vintage is 2012. Very floral aromatics: violets with black pepper.

Sensational with both salad and Neopolitan pizzas, a fruity, juicy treat.

QPR-wise, this wine is a 9.8. Nose is a 9.7. With cranberry cheddar, this wine is a 9.9. With dinner, it bows down a bit too much...9.1. By itself, it's a little thin...9.1. Complementary wine but do NOT drink without fare. 100% Piedmont Ruché, this wine has a great rose petal floral and red berry perfume nose. I THINK this is what the label says as well, but my Italiano isn't so bueno. Entry of red berry fruits, cola, mint, Lee's acidic than I thought it would be. Middle is more black cherry but retaining all of the front character. Finishes rather soft by itself and with food. Dried herb and walnuts peaking in. NICE. Been holding off as I thought this one was done. Grabbed another bottle to open when this one was declared dead...that one will have to wait another night! In the sweet spot right now.

Loads of flowers and figs on the nose. The palate adds something akin to incense with smooth tannins and refreshing acidity. Excellent with food (as most Italian wine is!).

A revelation. I drank my first ruche in January, and then found this great bottle. A distinctive wine.
