Sometimes too much NC wine and you forget what you are missing from other regions......Pinot noir rose is my favorite and this is a great example. Well done!

The 2018 Spring Confrerie dinner was a wonderful time with some great Alsatian wines (and non-Alsatian wines) and fantastic food!

Always a fantastic Pinot. Weston has really started cranking out some impressive stuff, more so now since he’s been working with the same vineyards and fruit consistently. Intoxicating nose of Bing cherries, black cherry cola, cedar underbrush with great weight and acidity on the palate. My favorite Pinot of his to date.

Wednesday Wine Committee. As always, wines are tasted blind. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert.

The entire room guessed high end Cali producer. Many guesses of Williams Selyem. Bing cherries, cola, kirsch, raspberries. One of Montagu’s best wines to date. Thankfully I guessed the varietal correct here 😉✔️

Solid!!! Not a lightweight pinot. Well balanced with some raspberry and chocolate notes.

These Montagu wines just keep hitting it out of the park. This wine was a great pick to go with our light Italian meal. Nice and faint purple color, and unique cherries on the nose. Small spice on the finish, but it was crazy smooth!

What a lovely surprise. I don't normally reach for a Pinot Noir, but this is quite good. Soft on the palette and slightly fruity. It aged well since last tasted.
