Now seventeen years of age, the 2003 Dom Perignon ‘Brut’ Rose is really in a superb place. Right away the orange and brown hues provide plenty of intrigue. A whiff of salinity entices as cranberry, wild mushroom, peat moss and baked pear tones all come together with smoky accents rounding out this gorgeous bouquet. The silky mousse adds to the enjoyment as the freshness and weight of the wine are downright awesome. Sour red cherry and pomegranate seed tones combine with white truffle, salted hazelnuts, Japanese pear and forest floor tones on the palate. This is captivating stuff to enjoy right now, absolutely at its peak in terms of flavor and aromatic range, as well as verve. Drink 2020-2030- 94

The daily sabering ritual got me in the mood for bubbles. Sunsets here do not suck.
