Smooth, light, raspberry

I got this half bottle leftover from my coworker who enjoyed it last night. I am pretty sure my impression of this wine will be very different from theirs. This is a very nice and balanced wine. Lots of people noticed you need to mention all characteristics, but I disagree. Probably was like that on day one, but definitely not like that on day two. Although not a show-stopper, the Blackberry and Herbal Essence of this wine is very balanced. The fruit is a little bit thin, but overall I wouldn't kick it out of bed.

Typical California Cab, with a nice long finish.

Cherries with big tannins. Dry finish.

High note red fruit with some tobacco and spice on the nose. Deep red and layered cooked fruit on the palate. This is definitely food wine and the nose is pretty nuanced but it's good.

Dark, easy to drink. Rich.

Nice. But not my type. My wife likes it.

Not spectacular, but good enough.

Cherry on the nose and palate - rich and deep fruit, dark color, and not too dry a finish. I imagine with age it will only improve but it sure drinks nicely right now.

Great with pasta!
