Interesting. Awful on first pour. Day 2 it settled down and was enjoyable. Day 3 was its best drinking day. Surprising for a 16 - the fruit was either blue or there were stems galore in this. Mostly pomegranate on the nose and in the mouth. Tight, tight, tight tannins and bracing acidity on opening. Whatever, it’s wine and not a cure for cancer. Speaking of cancer, I’m tired of thinking about it and I hope it leaves me soon. I want to be alone 😩

Sep 17th, 2022Strawberry, sweet tobacco and vanilla aromatics. The palate evokes blackberry, honey, and pomegranate. The finish lingers with burnt caramel essences and a red velvet texture. One of my go-to pinots. Full bodied mouthfeel is bigger than you might expect!
