More Margaret River tonight - just couldn't get enough. I will say this: particularly, this wine is not for the Barossa fan. It is more of a Crozes Hermitage kinda wine with more acidity, softer and fresher fruit, and floral qualities.

👃damp red fruit, fresh rosemary and basil herbs, anise, red flowers

👅raspberry, black and green peppercorn, herbes de Provence, red apple skin, red plum

Fresher fruit forwardness than Crozes Heritage, but super similar. Margaret River is very French in style.

Very dry but not too heavy. Went well with tomato sauce pasta.

Great shiraz for the price. Nice and smooth with the full shiraz spice.

Delectable Blue

Day 1 - A very fruit forward shiraz, with a hint of spice on the back palette. Blackberry flavours dominate the palate, with a helping of blackcurrant fruit and a hint of aniseed and chocolate on the finish. Finely integrated tannins. Not a bad wine, but not a style I favour. Needs some support from some nice rich food.

Day 2 - After vacuum sealing the wine overnight, I then decanted it two hours before drinking on night 2. Decanting made all the difference. The dominance of the fruit was softened appreciably and the wine tasted much better for it. Quite a nice drop now.
