My favourite Spanish white grape brought from there in 2014. Surprisingly, it's still alive (but fading without a doubt) and enjoyable.
Rated it with 9.3 points two years ago (same vintage).
Bit murky straw yellow with green tints.
Medium intensity nose of mowed grass, pineapple, pear, quince, fennel. Marigold backdrop as an evidence of withering process.
Enticingly fresh palate of light-plus body, low+ acidity. Distinct flavors of gooseberry, soaked apples, carambola, some sunflower seed and guava.
Grassy aftertaste with pear, apple and quince.
Paired seabass baked in Provence herbs nicely.

Excellent fresh and refreshing white, easy to drink. Close your eyes and feel summer field whilst whirling wine in the glass… Than sip to taste gooseberry and kumqwat notes. Relax to feel deep specific Verdejo tale. Magnificent!

Verdejos are some of my favorite white wines. This one has plenty of acidity and friity/herbal notes. There have been hard to find locally for the past 3 summers, but I paid just $3.99 for the Torres Verdeo, so no complaints. A great summer sipper!
