San Michele Ripasso Valpolicella Classico Superiore Corvina Blend

Very easy to drink. Beautifully balanced. Not robust enough on its own. A good dinner wine.

Nicely dry, heavy tongue. $25 at Spec's.

Intense aromas of plum, black cherry and raisin with earthy and oregano undernotes. Smooth, velvety and round mouthfeel, as a hint of earthiness and gameyness comes as a pleasant surprise. The Ripasso method adds subtle Amarone-like sweetness and richness. It's a great wine for this price point.

Cherry immediately. Mixed fruit at mid pallet. Leather and tobacco at the end. Very dainty nose. Cherry there as well.

Cherry forward, smooth yet bold. Similar to pint noir, slightly more spice forward
