Prestige Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend
Feminine and graceful on day 2. Day 1 was tight and acidic.

Nov 2nd, 2021It's a great time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday.
Deep ruby in color with a pretty reddish rim.
On the nose blueberries, black currants, black plums, cherries, oak, licorice, eucalyptus, vegetables, earth, dark chocolates and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and skinny legs.
Dry on the palate with black plums, currants, dark chocolates, cherries, light oak, licorice, spices, herbs and black pepper.
Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a spicy and fruit forward Merlot based blend from Saint Émilion. Still young and would be better in 3 to 5 years.
Tangy and interesting. Tasty and gets earthier as it opens up.
A good quality wine that needs more time in the bottle to mature properly.
Needs some time to open up and remove some of the acidity, and showing nice structure once it does. Comes out to play after 90 minutes in the decanter.
Good by itself or with food, and paired very nicely with my extra fatty Brie cheese and prosciutto.
A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (33% new).
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$40.
